Two Wayne County students have been awarded the "A Douce" Scholarship for Skilled Trades and Technical Education. The scholarship is named after two local businessmen and aims to support students pursuing careers in technical fields. The recipients, who attend Triway High School and Wayne County Schools Career Center, plan to use the scholarship to further their education in welding and auto technology. The Northwestern Wayne FFA chapter is holding its annual sausage fundraiser. The sausage consists of high-priced meat cuts such as loin, ham, etc. that have never been frozen. It will be made fresh the day of delivery. Members of the chapter will make and bag the sausage on Jan. 31st.
The sausage will be made at Heffelfinger Meats Inc. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for members of the chapter!
Five-pound bags $25 per bag if you pay via check or cash. Online ordering is available for $27 per five-pound bag. All orders must be prepaid. The options are spiced (salt and pepper) or non-spiced (no seasoning).
